This is our absolute favorite place to golf--and my husband LOVES golf. We feel like it's our best little secret place. We look forward to the beautiful course with its mountains and spectacular homes, but if you don't believe me, don't go. We want people to keep this place successful, but we also wouldn't mind keeping this amazing course as our own little quiet sanctuary.
What can I say…. The best golf experience in our lives. Came with a 3 man group.. we were 15 min late to our tee time but the staff and ranger were more than accommodating. Ranger Dave ended up buying us a round. The course was immaculate.. the views the whole experience was something out of this world… can’t wait go back… also the food at the club house was on another level of perfection.
What a beautiful course, very challenging for the first time playing. Sand traps are the only reason for not going with 5 stars, probably about 1" of good sand then hardpan below. Very picturesque layout and great value.
Wow!!! Very nice course. Beautiful scenery!
Fairways and greens are in good condition.
Layout is fantastic! Take a few extra balls. Sometimes they are difficult to find outside of the fairways. Rough is a little high. Pace of play was good, as well the beverage car was out there. Would definitely recommend it to play!
This course is in great shape, especially for the cost to play. They have a restaurant as well and the food is good. I will definitely be back.
Mountain Harbour is a beautiful, challenging course in a gorgeous setting. Knowing the course and its water hazards is key to a decent score. The greens are difficult to read and will test even the most skilled golfer. I have golfed here for 4+ years and have had only one negative experience with staff, which the GM promptly made right. Grounds staff (and residents) have improved the overall condition of the course, but there is still room for improvement, particularly with the bunkers. Overall, this is a great place to play.
My friends and I chose to play at mountain Harbour because of the reviews people have given them. When we called the day before our tee time to ask questions including how strict the dress code is, we were told it was okay to wear a golf shirt even if it’s not a collared shirt like the website says is required. Myself, and another member of our group didn’t wear collars but wore proper golf attire and was profiled by one of the several owners of the course by being told “it’s ok this time, but be on your best behavior.” From hole 1 and on, this man and his wife followed our group of young inexperienced players. We told them from the get go (even during the phone call from the previous day) that we are beginners learning a new sport. They followed our group for 13 holes and not only made snide comments toward us including, “are you aiming for the houses?” But also yelled at us more than once and pressured us to hurry to the next hole. Golf is supposed to be a fun sport to play and I felt very much that I was not welcome on this course to the point that after hole 13 we left. Being followed by owners of the course was not only intimidating but it was unprofessional. We paid $55 to play here and came to the course ready to have a good day but ended up leaving feeling unwelcome, judged and discouraged. The only positive from today was the ranger, dave because he de escalated and appropriately handled issues once it got to a point of needing someone to step in.I certainly wouldn’t play this course again because by of poor ownership micromanaging us with bad communication from the get go.
Beautiful scenery. Didn't play golf but had lunch at the restaurant. Menu was limited but the food was excellent and not over priced.
